CA State has issues

received rejection notice. Followed directions. CA Return Error message disappeared after I went back to Return. Could not get error message info back. Had to do CA filing again, get rejected again, then get error message again, only to have it disappear again. Trying for the third time.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Royalty issues

I find the HR Block format a bit less than user friendly but I managed to get past that. Everything was fine but it would help if you clarified the manner in which deductions for taxes and expenses is reported for oil and gas royalties. An explanation block or paragraph on the page for reporting the 1099 Misc would be helpful with a point toward which form is needed for reporting offsets to gross royalties beyond the state tax lines.
Cons: Hard to import documents

The items that I use due to my situation are pretty straightforward and have been used by me many times. However it was my first year getting 1099-ltc. No help other than telling me witch form to fill out.

Step for entering last year’s AGI is confusing.

The program’s Instructions say something like ‘we have that information from last year’s return and we’ll take care of this for you.’ But there’s a zero entered in the block and instructions for me to override it. How is this taking care of it for me?
Confusing.

Program good. Said I could print after filing return. I could not do that. How do I print my return? Changed from last year.

Rejection mystery

I have used your software for three years now and like it very much! However I have had just this year several rejections from the IRS due to "incorrect AGI and PIN entries. I had the previous years return on the same computer and checked the figures carefully but still it was rejected. Have others had a similar problem? I have had to mail some returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
