Besides plugging in a few numbers the import function is a great feature. Never had an issue with updates or accuracy.
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback! We truly appreciate your business. At H&R Block, we strive to provide 5-Star customer satisfaction each and every time.
While the product is easy to use, Federal Law dictates that all W-2, 1099 and other tax items are to be sent to the taxpayer by January 31. Likewise, the yearly software should be ready to go by February 1st. This weekly update update of the software is for the birds. Very frustrating.
Our first efile was rejected by IRS because last years ADJusted Gross Income did not match. I realized I had two figures for last year and resubmitted efile return with correct AGI........but HRBlock software could just as easily archived last years AGI when it does the importing. ALSO.....the importing 1099B data from financial institutions is very clumsy and did not work until three attempts. When final screen says click Continue to Close screen, it did not close screen and Cancel was the only ridiculous option.
I have been using H&R Block software for over 18 years. Been great. I do wish you would have your software stop anytime there is a major $ change on the owed or returned amount, like, major change of amount owed or returned - please verify last entries are correctly entered.(I entered an amount on an adjacent line and had to go over my return 3 times to find it. I also wish you would send reminders and best prices to purchase at first of each year to your repeat customers.
I am a long time user of this software and have always been satisfied. This year, however, I had several stock trade transactions, and the program would not allow me to E file due to the missing sale date (which I could not add - not even VAR-S or VAR-L). I also had trouble with filing VAR-L with a 0 proceeds price on a worthless stock or reporting 0 federal tax withholding. I finally had to resort to individually reporting each transaction in order to finish and file. There was also supposed to be a list of documents to send as attachment to the State filing - no list was available. I finally figured out the document needed in order to proceed was a copy of my Fed return as PDF. The program was supposed to tell me what documents to attach.
The problem was identified as with the software, no my data. First told to resubmit after a date that had passed, I did do a manual update as the software for Mac auto update fails and resubmitted my return. The second submission was also rejected. The report identifies another correction of the software is required and won't be available for a week.
