TurboTax is superior

The last few years I’ve filed with HRBlock due to the price being cheaper than TurboTax. It always felt less refined but was serviceable. This year I had a tax question and despite their numerous mentions of “live tax expert” assistance on the website, I was told my version of deluxe is not eligible. Never had this issue with TurboTax and will be returning to their product next tax year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printing Return

Everything was great EXCEPT printing of return using MAC 13.6.4 OS. It would print only the left half of the page. It was necessary to delete ALL printers then print to PDF in order to get a full page return.
I would recommend this to a friend!

almost Makes Taxes Fun

taxes are a bummer

tax laws change every year it is hard to keep track. that's why I use your software for years.
the area for software improvement would be for importing data from Vanguard brokerage to search on "Symbol:" and pick up the alpha after it. and to ignore the numeric before it.

Easy to use, accurate

I like how it brings up data from previous years and saves the trouble of re-inputting everything. The question-style format seems to cover everything I'm concerned with. Plus, unlike the competition, the Tax Cut program doesn't eliminate capability from year to year and not tell you until you've bought it.

Not good for Iowa state software

Software excludes forms I needed to determine if an underpayment penalty applied. Instead of providing the form and doing the match, it prompted me to download the form and do the math myself. This should be included in the software. If I wanted to print forms and do the math by hand myself I wouldn't be paying for this software. Please update this for Iowa.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
