I have been using the H&R Block software for 23 years. I takes a little time to learn to navigate, but I use it with confidence. The price/quality is a best value.

Overall very good, with a couple of e-file hiccups

Just filed my taxes with this software. Overall, the software did as expected and was easy to navigate. A couple of hiccups when I as e-filing my return. I completed all the e-file steps including payment instruction and when I hit send, it stopped and said I needed to get latest software update. It did ask that I save before the update which is good, but normally if the software needed an update it would do when you first opened the software. So I had to to start e-file sequence again after update, but since it was saved it was just verification info was correct and move to next step. Then, when I hit send for the second time, it kicked me out again, with a message that there was an incorrect zip code on one a 1099-R. I performed an accuracy check 2 times prior to that and it didn't catch it. So I corrected zip code and went through e-file sequence again and sent e-file with success.
Pros: Easy to prepare

This is the 6th year that I have used this software. It is very user friendly and easy to use.

I bought this last month. Installed it, did and update today and finished my taxes in no time at all. Very easy to use and understand. We have been using sane program for years now and never a problem. Highly Recommend.

Very happy with H&R Block Deluxe and State. Wish the printing was not so small and sometimes hard to read. As for the Amazon option at the end, you need to advise that if you have chosen to have an electronic transfer of a overpayment you can't select the Amazon option, at least that was my experience.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

Used every year since the early nineties, almost 30 years. Has been fantastic and I feel that I have gotten my best refund every time. Highly recommend..

eFile useless because PIN field is only 5 digits

The IRS gave me a 6-digit pin for 23023 eFile. This HRB software takes only 5 digits. My return was rejected twice before I figured out there is a software compatibality issue between HRB software and IRS software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
