I've used this program for many years, so have been happy with the product. But the issue experience with failing to connect to your System on 4/14 and into 4/15 and complete the tax submission this year was really bad, especially right at the deadline.
More proactive information would have been better so I didn't try 3 times resulting in 3 additional changes to my credit card.
You should revisit your QA load testing and verify server/VM redundant architectures to prevent this issue next year.
I use it, but don't love it. So many nuisances. Just for one example, it imports transaction data from your brokerage for stock sales (capital gains), but then forces you to click through one at a time to confirm, which includes deleted about a dozen decimal place zeros. It screws up certain royalties. It provides boilerplate IRS language as "help".
I switched from TurboTax to HRB a long time ago for reasons that have little to do with this review. Navigating around in forms with the PC keyboard is a bit weird. The mouse and scroll wheel are fine, but cursor keys and tabs behave a bit oddly. Beyond that, importing data from the previous year and online sources work well, moving around data entry in the interview is okay. It would be nice if I could tell it the non-AI equivalent of I "just got a 1099-DIV from Vanguard, take me to that interview screen."
Other than that, it's accurate, no more confusing than some IRS forms, and I'll be using it next year.
