Struggled with program after I completed Federal and started my state form. Question was if starting new form which I was for my state. So the program deleted my completed Federal taxes and I had to redothe completed form all over again.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

I would prefer that you raise the price to include one state e-file, and be upfront about the cost.....rather than surprising me and everyone with an additional charge at the very end.
TurboTax takes every opportunity to upcharge at the very end, once they have you. H&R is better than that. So be upfront and state the total cost that includes federal and state e-file. And then you can contrast your product with TurboTax, and gain their customer base.
