I haven't been ablt to file my State return because it says I owe over $4000 when I actually should be getting a few hundred dollars back because I paid $4500 in estimated taxes. It is not clear where to put them and the only help was from computer generated that didn't understand a word I said!
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I have been using H&R Block federal tax software for years and have always been happy.
The State tax software I have used has had problems. I have called to get help and have been told it is a software issue and I am provided with no solution to the problem.

We had only one issue with this year's product. My daugter owed taxes this year, and hit the wrong button for her payment. Changing it was extremely cumbersom.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
