I have used this software before, which makes it easier to use for me. I can import the previous year’s information, and go from there. It’s pretty slick, especially for the federal tax return because it updates to make sure you know about any changes. You can call up or print out any form as well. I was pretty nervous the first time I used efile, but now I use it every time - so quick and easy!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Tried this since turbo tax won't work with older versions of windows. Fairly easy to use, importing worked fair, some exceptions were filling in the red marked boxes that the program highlighted during the checks...no idea what input/amount the red boxes were needing since there was no context provided. Wish this supported Linux, since so many of us are dumping windows for good.

I have used this for several years. This year, though, it miscalculated my Missouri state tax and the state caught the mistake and issued a refund for only about half of what H&R's estimate was. Other than that, I am happy with the product.

It was a nightmare! It wouldn’t let me proceed so I had to call. After that, I couldn’t proceed so I had to call. The workers are wonderful, but the software isn’t. She had me download new software then I couldn’t input so I had to call. and then, they can’t move anything over from the old software so I had to retype the entire tax Data. I feel like it’s accurate but it was such a nightmare and I got a giant migraine one morning and kept working on it anyway while I was sick. Again, every person I talked to on the phone was always trying to be empathetic and helpful. I don’t know if it was what I was doing that was wrong,but I’ve used H&R Block about 10 times before and I just go right through, but not this year
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

the user interface acted very oddly. “accuracy review” is unusable when the item is a checkbox. cannot tell what item is the issue.
when tentative items are checkboxes its impossible to tell.
on navigation the boxes were flashing when each page loaded.
the NEC form part was confusing it kept showing and counting them twice.
in one case it confused my dependents. it copied the name of one dependent to the other.
