I've been using this software for the last several years. This year your software failed me!
The assistant for figuring mortgage interest and how much can be deducted had bad formulas.
It gave me no Way to show two different 1098 forms for the same property. It took each 1098 as separate homes and then added the two together which caused my total mortgage amount to go over the limits. It took me hours to go through this and finally correct the mistake manually.
The error would have cost me almost $2000 in added taxes.

Most of the program worked well, as I have been used to for years. But when I was ready to e-file, it said I could not because of an inconsistency. The description of the “inconsistency”, however, was simply not true. Trying to get help has been difficult, after several levels. Maybe a third level will help, but meanwhile I had to file for an extension, which extends the frustration. Past years we have done essentially the same things with no problems.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used both online internet-based software and H&R Block Deluxe to prepare taxes. The PC-based software is more flexible and allows me to prepare taxes for multiple people in my family. I do W2, Retirement, Social Security, Schedule-C, capital gains, and more with this one program, without add-on charges. The ability to e-file up to 5 federal returns is valuable. The only change I would seek is a lower-cost or free e-file for State returns.
