Easy to use and overall okay. Some basic issues
1. No ability to import 1099 from Chase, Wells Fargo

I had to send in a paper copy of my Iowa return a day late and I'm sure I'll have to pay a penalty. Your system was down for 6 hours on tax day, April 15th and when it came back up, I was able to send my Federal and Minnesota return Electronically, BUT it refused to try and send my State return for Iowa !!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve been using H&R Block software for the past 15 years. Every year I have loved the ease and convenience of using the software and filing my taxes. This year, however, the system was down for two days when I tried to file. I felt I was in danger of missing the deadline on tax day so I printed my state return and mailed it off, which was a huge inconvenience for me, gathering all the necessary paperwork and standing in line at the post office on tax day. I managed to pay my tax bill online (without the help of the H&R Block software) and I came home and tried again to file my Federal return. After hours of trying and being told the system was still down, it finally transmitted the Federal return successfully. I feel like the software was good for preparing my taxes, but completely failed at filing, which we paid for. Add H&R Block to the growing list of companies that was formerly good, and is no longer, like Boeing. Next year I’m paying someone to do my taxes so this never happens to me again.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst experience in last decade using software

I had a glitch with some form during check that was very troublesome to fix and was not relevant to my taxes due to my age?? I also had 24 hours of uncertainty trying to E-file on the 14th and 15th which I found unsettling. It may seem harsh but in 2024 servers have to stay up during final push on day before Tax day if you are a Tax Prep/Filing company!
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This software did an ok job of assembling a tax return, but when I went to e-file, HRBlock's servers were too busy/full to send it, so I was out of luck. Had to mail it in. Might as well have saved my money, and done it the ordinary way.
