The tool has been good in the past years, however, this year there were several quality issues. Could not file the return early as features were not yet ready. Once the features were ready, the tax return was rejected by IRS because of software issues. This delayed filing the return further.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used HR block/tax cut for many years this year’s the first year. I’ve been somewhat disappointed. I did not like that I could not order a back up disk like I did last year. Also, for some reason no matter how hard I tried, I could not import my information from last year’s taxes so I had to manually put all my information in. It was an extra hassle, and I actually made an error on my birthdate Which caused me to have to go through an extra step to correct my return as I had already submitted it. I’m seriously hoping that next year will be easier like all the other many years I’ve used this software otherwise I may decide to change to a different brand.
