I bought this early in the year. I finished my taxes but the program wouldn’t allow me to submit them because a form in the program wasn’t updated. I texted my concerns but no one responded. Form was updated a few weeks before deadline but I don’t trust it anymore.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always used the Federal only software and decided to spend extra for the state software. Very disappointed to learn there was an additional charge to file the state after paying extra for the state software. Did not find the state software user friendly nor very beneficial to use. Ended up using our state website and it was easier and resulted in a larger refund.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always used the other brand, but the newer version wouldn’t work with my MacBook software Big Sur. Luckily, H&R Block worked. The software worked fine except for a few little things. It didn’t quite capture all of my info from last year’s tax forms and there were a couple of times that I found the questions confusing. One large complaint was the quality of the font. Much of the font was pixelated as though I was using very old software. I use a MacBook Pro and the image on the screen should be crystal clear. It was also confusing at the end when it reported I had errors, but I didn’t. To get rid of the error message, I deleted the issue. Little did I know, it deleted info from my taxes and I had to do my taxes an entire second time. That was very aggravating and ridiculous. When I finished the second time, I ignored the error messages.
Pros: Easy to import documents
