Really like the completeness and the easy import functions of the H&R Block Deluxe + State. Helped make completion of Federal and State taxes quicker and easier; also helped with getting refunds more quickly. Only thing I would like to see more of is explanations or links to information about certain terms or types of taxes/situations. While the program does a good job of asking about these situations, the terms/questions don't have as many links to explanations or tax rules as I would like. Sure, once you've had the event occur once in your taxes it will look familiar to you in the future, but if it's new that year, how do you even know what to call it or if the IRS even cares.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have been using H&R Block Tax Software for years now. I like the way that it loads key data from past returns automatically, and keeps track of refunds and payments for state taxes. Each time I use it, the result is easier and more effective. I do my own taxes and for several young family member.

Worst service (lack of service) during the most critical last 48 hours of need. It is unimaginable to have your servers down during the most critical time of need....and not be able to transmit. THIS WILL CAUSE ME TO RETHINK TURBO TAX for next year. I never had this problem in my decades with Turbo Tax. To think that H&R Block wasn't prepared 2 years in a row is INEXCUSABLE! Lack of preparedness and spending to be prepared. If your operational rate is 98-99%, that's not good enough if it's down during the 1-2% of the time when I need it! CATESTROPIC FAILURE!

Paid for deluxe with state, form for electric car rebate very late for federal (3/22) and not included in state return. Had to do state return manually & get form off internet.

I switched over from turob tax about 5 years ago as i got tired of the bsit and switch tactics they use multiple times during software usage. You guys only do it once and thats much better. My only complaint is that I could not do a cut and paste from my 1099-R pdf forms to your software.
