I have used this product for several years but as a visually impaired user I struggle as the text cannot be enlarged in the program and the text on the forms is not only not bolded but also in boxes with a grey background, making much of it extremely difficult to use. Also quite clunky.

The do it yourself home software worked as it is supposed to. We appreciate that it hasn't changed year-to-year as we know how to navilgate it very well now, and where all of our entries are supposed to go. On-line submission was easy. I wish we didn't have to pay extra for the state electronic submission. I did not get an update when the IRS and MI processed our returns; only received an initual notice that they had accepted the return. We will keep buying it. Don't change it!

Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used H&R Block Tax software for 5 tax seasons, having previously used Turbo Tax. H&R provided me with great functionality and ease of use, and much better value. I like to use the software to prepare pro forma returns for forecasting prior to receiving all of my 1099 info. But once prepared I like to delete to clear the decks for my actual return, but there is no way to delete a return. Perhaps that is to prevent you from doing more than the allowed number of returns. I also wish the software was capable of completing form 1041 returns for trust accounts. That would be a great help.

I've used this app for a while and it has worked well for me. The 2023 version, however, was not easy to use when declaring crypto. You are prompted to use a third-party app that summarizes all your crypto instead.
