I purchased the Deluxe version this year after using the Basic for many years. I felt that the Deluxe offered no more ease in completing my tax turn than the Basic version. I always have problems understanding how to fix issues when going through the Accuracy Review. I ended up just deleting the forms in question to proceed, not understanding if that was corrrect or not.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Now I've used H&R Block Premium + State for several years. Always very easy to negotiate around "Shoebox style" as well as interview style. I really like that last years info is automatically uploaded each year. It's VERY unlikely I will ever use any other tax program.

Wouldn't let me use online help or e-file because it said I didn't have a network connection. I tried all the suggestions regarding proxies and firewalls yet it still didn't work. I had to drag out my old Windows 10 desktop which wasn't very convenient or fast. I'll choose something else next year because now I just don't trust it to work with Windows 11.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
