I bought the Mac version online, but when I tried to download and install the upgdate, it appeared to just go into a loop and I couldn't tell if the update was successful. I had trouble installing the VA state module too. I called the helpdesk and they were able to send me links to the federal and state that worked. After that everything went very smoothly. I had a similar problem last year with the state module; otherwise this would be 5 stars.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Get's the job done but not without some challenges

The Deluxe package helped me prepare and submit my taxes. I moved to a MAC from a Windows PC and the transition was relatively easy. I appreciated this. I found navigating your product more difficult this year and some of the searches I tried didn't return the results I was looking for. A new issue since I began using H&R Block tax software several years ago. Appreciate the ability to download my data from financial institutions. Saves time. In a couple of cases the dollar fields didn't seem to get "right justified" during download which caused problems with the "test checks" your product offers. Annoying to have to keep reviewing before filing. I also wasn't able to get advice on withholding for next year in the "planning" section after completing my return. I found this helpful in the past, but this year there didn't seem to be any advice on what my quarterly estimated tax payments should be in 2026 to avoid a penalty. This was disappointing though it could have been "operator error" on my part. Overall, using your software helped me get the job done and I appreciate all the time and effort your team puts into the development of the product.

Might switch to something else for next year taxes

Had to buy twice, since #1 downloaded to a PC that wouldn't play the app. Had to buy new computer just to run the program. Also, no simple item edit. All forms and worksheets. Tedious and disappointing after 20 years of H&R tax software.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this soft3ware for a number of years and find it useful. Navigation could be easier -- after you're most of the way through, if you need to go back to check or change something you may have to click through a number of screens to get back to where you were.
