I have a Mac running OS BigSur, which can not be upgraded due to change in chips by Apple. TurboTax, which I have used for 20 years, would not run on that OS, so I tried H&R Block. There was some learning curve, but I actually think the H&R app is better and clearer to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

As was widely reported I along with thousands of others couldn't file our taxes because the H&R systems were down for many hours close to the filing deadline.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

As the title says, software is ok, gets the job done, but beware when filing multiple states. If you do the order wrong, you have to manually print out your returns and mail them in. This includes the order in which you complete the returns as well. No real easy to find instructions about this, you find out the hard way with error messages. No simple fix either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
