On April 16, 2024 your server issues caused a lot of people to go scramble to file by paper, or a least get all the materials gathered and printed to do that. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have filed online through your company for as long as I remember being able to prep and file online. I am reviewing my tax filing process and will for sure look in to comparisons between your product and others available for tax year 2024. I do usually wait until the last day to file and have never had an issue with your quality and ability to follow through with the filing, but I do now question if I should have looked for other options prior to your malfunction. The situation did cause some heartburn and stress that I may not of fulfilled my tax obligation since I relied on your service. A service that was struggling in the final minutes of the tax prep game.

Fast and easy to use. With everything at my disposal, I can do my Federal taxes in under an hour. Then, I have to go back and find out what didn't Calc right and change numbers in the forms. Usually, I find something wrong.

Price as well as accuracy are important. I feel this is accurate and the price offered to me as a prior user through either email or postal mail has been cheaper than a competitor and cheaper than the purchase in the stores. I also want to be able to download this onto my desktop computer.
I have in the past used a couple competitors for returns for friends / relatives when I needed an additional state I did not use myself and could purchase a competitor's product cheaper than adding the additional State on to block..
Each has pluses and minuses but for my personal use I return to block as it is easy to use for me and though not necessarily the cheapest when buying anonymously but it has been the cheapest for me with offers they send me as a returning customer. I will continue to use it based on price.
Just as a curiosity I have compared the final result using block on my own taxes with input into a couple other programs as well as doing it by hand ( which I am capable of doing) and the results were the same.
In all programs understanding what the interview questions are asking is of the greatest importance in obtaining an accurate result.
I believe it is possible to get a cheaper package overall hence the four stars on price but I am willing to pay a little more because I believe block handles the overall filing experience better and I am willing to pay slightly more for that.
