I have used this software since TaxCut first introduced it. I found it very fast and easy to use…then Block bought it. Block seems to have made it difficult to use without necessary additional instructions. Last year (2022) I said this is the last time but I gave in and tried it one more time this year (2023). I won’t be that weak next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2023 H&R Block Deluxe Software Was Easy To Use

I used the 2023 H&R Block Deluxe Software to prepare my 2023 federal & state tax returns. It was easy to upload my 2022 info and enter my 2023 info. The software guided me thru the process and helped me file my returns online.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have a six digit An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) In the beginning of the forms I was able to enter the six digit number at the end I was only able to enter five digits and it failed to upload the forms error saying incorrect An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) and I had to mail it in. My friend used turbo tax and had no problem with his An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) I will use turbo tax next year
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I use this software every year and am able to do my taxes and my dependent (working internships or summer jobs) kids' taxes, too! I even can buy an extra state when one of the kids is working out of state. It's easy to use, although this year was a bit more difficult as I waited for the federal government to finish updating tax laws, but I've never had any difficulty with getting my return accepted and getting my taxes done on time.
