Federal works but Maryland frequently has problems

I have used H&R Block Federal and State for many years. I don't use eFile for Maryland because Maryland lets you file online for free. The H&R Block software frequently has errors for Maryland taxes too. If I used eFile I might not catch the errors and then would owe penalties once Maryland catches them, which takes 3-5 years.
Our taxes aren't that complicated. Our income and expenses are easily documented. We don't have any unusual credits or deductions.
The problem this year (2023) is we invested in 529 College Savings Plans. Maryland lets you deduct part of that investment from your income. While H&R Block has the form for this, and the two dozen plus other deductions, there is no way to fill that form out.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
