Overall good: didn't handle Roth withdrawal well.

The software is much easier than filing my taxes on my own. But it didn't on its own in the questionaire provide the right forms for handling my Roth withdrawal. The withdrawal was non-taxable, as it was less than my basis in the Roth. The simple, correct way to show this to the IRS is to convey the basis in the Roth on Form 8606 in part III. But the software didn't ask me about my basis or have me fill out the form. It was going to have me pay tax on my withdrawal. Instead, I had to figure out on my own (go Reddit!) what I was supposed to do. Then I manually inputted my basis in the correct place on the form. Only after that did the software pick up on what was going on. One other complaint: one question in the questionaire said it was ok to answer both yes and no!
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!
