I have used H&R Block tax software for many years, but this may be my last. First off, the software would not update properly, it kept going in endless loops trying to install the same update over and over and over. I had to go to the website, download and manually install the update. Creating the return went as expected and was relatively simple. However, when it came to e-file, I kept repeatedly getting a "Bad Gateway" error, my internet and firewall were working properly. I tried to e-file many times over multiple days but it never seemed to go through. Somehow, one of the failed attempts did go thru even though the software did not think so. I got the E-mail that my return was transmitted, then the e-mail saying the IRS accepted it, but the software still thinks my return has not yet been filed. The cost keeps going up, the problems are becoming worse and more frequent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
