Overall the program was good. A couple suggestions for improvement.
1. The type is too small to comfortably read. I know my eyes aren't the best, but why don't you have an option to increase the font size. It is a big enough deal (to me) that I'll probably switch to your competitor next year.
2. Provide more detailed instructions. The comments provided about topics were too cryptic; remember, your not dealing with tax preparers, your dealing with people that think about taxes once a year.
3. More info in the "help" feature. Seamed very limited.
4. AI assistance. How much confidence do you expect me to have in help from AI? Where is the AI function pulling it's information from?

Problems with EFile

Needs work on electronic filing. I had a simple K-1 trust with withholding that could not be e-filed. This does not make any sense these programs should be able to handle all the items in K-1 forms without issues.

Great tax software - provides excellent guidance!

We have used H&R Block tax software for over 10 years. We are happy with how the software directs us to topics that impact our taxes based on our answers to questions posed. We have great confidence in H&R Block tax software.
Our only frustration is some of the verification items requiring attention prior to filing seem unnecessary and require a fair amount of research on our part. Otherwise, we are very happy with this product.

Very disappointed since I was expecting more from the desktop version. I have used Intuit Credit Karma online for the past several years which was free until last year because of more forms needed. The desktop version has poor resolution and feels outdated. Getting access to forms and explanations was not intuitive. I was not able to see the filled in 1040 until the very end. There were complications identifing myself when trying to e-file which I had done in previous years. I finally had to print out the tax forms to mail which were poor quality printing. Given my my more complicated filing I queried 2 AI apps as to which would tax apps woould work for me. H&R turned out to be a poor choice for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
