We’ve tried other tax preparation software but HR Block is the most comprehensive yet easy to use program we’ve used. We appreciate the data import feature especially.

When you click on a box on a form, that was automatically checked or filled in. There is "no related to" or anything to tell you why the number or checked box was filled in..
Sometimes you have to go thru the interview vs change a number on a form before it updates. For some reason the Estimated tax forms were not updated till March 15. This caused a penalty for me and I had to file an amended return.

System Crash on April 15 ... couldn't be worse! I usually prepare 3 returns each year. This year my personal return was going to be filed online on April 15, but H&R Block's tax filing system went out. I'm sure I was only one out or thousands left on their own to get things filed at the last minute without the help of H&R Block.

The software lacks in many areas. As professional tax accountants customers should have all the necessary information and forms to complete their tax filing. In many areas it doesn’t clearly state clear instructions for many individual situations. When using the accuracy checker I personally found that it clearly didn’t give precise instructions on how to proceed. After several attempts I was able to figure it out on my own.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare
