The software is really quite easy to use. I have used it for a number of years and the problems have been minimal. The support if you call in with a problem has not been a good experience for me. Fortunately, I have only had to call two times. I find it easy to understand and very well written.

Yes, it takes a bit of work to prepare your own tax return, but there are many reasons why this is a good thing, and, why you should use the H&RB program. Here are a few: 1) the price; 2) you'll have a better understanding of why your refund, or underpayment occurred; 3) electronic filing is quick and easy and your refund shows up in about 7 days; 4) you can schedule your payment of taxes owed as a direct withdrawal and then not have to worry about penalties; 5) using the included program for calculating the value of items donated to charity is a great tool that can get you a larger refund because you're not under-estimating their value.
