The only think I don't like is the requirement to give HR Block access to your personal data.
It's easy to use, straightforward and doesn't treat you like you're in kindergarten with it's questions.

I'm a CPA with experience on all the major tax filing systems. I prefer H&R Block for personal returns. It's got a friendly user interface and still enough heft to accommodate unusual twists like partially taxable 529 distributions. Definitely recommend Deluxe plus State.

To claim some state credits it is required that you attach documented proof. Your state tax calculator will not allow attachments so I had to use standard mail to file my tax return with the state.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
