couldn't file my fed return, it kept getting rejected by IRS after using Block E-file, contacted support, they said a Fed form wasn't available yet. Days went by. Finally, downloaded TURBOTAX, and filed my return electronically the same day, w/no issues....Block wasted my time A LOT
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

As always, the software was very user friendly. The problem arose when I decided to e-file my return and pay my taxes owed by charging to a credit card. I could have just written a check or had the amount directly debited from my check book. Had I known in advance that I'd be dealing with a third party who was charging me 2.49%, I would not have chosen to pay by credit card. I tried to back out so that I could use one of my other payment options but could not manage to do that. I'm disappointed with the way it worked out.
Pros: Easy to prepare

The best DIY tax software available . . only weakness I've found is that filing gas royalties for a land owner can be unclear and cumbersome . . and charges for purchasing a second state return, plus the additional filing charge, is excessive for value on an absolute scale . .
