Service went down and could not e-file. They suggested to print the forms and mail them. What a joke, 5 free federal e-files and it would not work.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have been using the H&R Block tax software for many years and am always amazed at how easy and straight forward it is to get my taxes done. Just import last years information and i don't even have to fill much of anything in by hand at all.

There were many stare and federal updates in machine and April. I like to file the end of February. You also did not fully replicate the iowa printed form as there was no shading or boxes in the printed version by the time I had to file.
Cons: Hard to prepare

I've been using H&R Block Deluxe + state for several years now, but this year as with the past few years although I purchased Deluxe + State the software shows I have to purchase the state software, but when I file it doesn't charge me for the state after all. It is stressful enough to do my taxes and I don't need the added stress each year of figuring out how to download the state software and then wonder if I'll be charged for the state software that I already paid for. (I live and work in the same state so only one state is involved)
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
