I have H&R Block Deluxe for 20+ year. It prompts you for answers to tax events and allows you to manually input or download your forms from many financial institutions. If you’re not sure about a topic, it provides additional information and guidance. Prior to filing it checks for potential errors.

Form 2210 not available until six weeks after it appeared on the IRS website. Treatment of qualified charitable contributions from inherited IRA's was non-existent for the first two months of tax season and just plain sloppy when it finally showed up. Disappointing.

The program was good in general. However, the calculation for penalty amount of late deduction was not correct, as IRS returned about half of the amount.
