The software did not know how to handle an rmd that was transferred between two ira accounts at different custodian Banks. It charged the wrong tax. Then, the system was unable to properly respond when I removed data related to the rmd transfer. Ultimately, I had to start an entire new return from scratch to bypass the problem. Fortunately, a web page on the IRS website clearly showed that the transfer was non-taxable. It seems like the h&r block software should have known this and been able to calculate correctly.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I use H&R every year and noticed that when it’s time get help the software is not helpful at all. The built-in help (knowledge base) can’t cover all aspects but it’s quick to kick you out without a resolution. Getting help on the phone is simply impossible. Giving the appearance of having support in place is not the same as actually providing a useful help option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
