Once you've used it for one year, the next year is easier since you don't have as much to enter. On the other hand, I'm curious as to how some of the tax decisions are made that are not apparently obvious. The bottom line is that the routine satisfied the issue and was better for me than the alternative. So I'm happy but puzzled

Not enough clear help for questions. Difficult to enter some data. Couldn't use electronic submit, which was part of the cost, because servers were down.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Even with investments, the software made my taxes fairly easy. There is one annoyance, however. If in the past, you've ever checked the box for "Wages paid to a household employee", even if you just wanted to see what it was about, you will never, ever be able to uncheck that box again in future years (or at least I couldn't). You're forced to go through the topic every year (assuming you load your prior year's return) thereafter no matter what. Not sure what the reasoning for that is or if it's just a bug, but for me it's becoming a major annoyance. Just allow the box to be unchecked (without any data entered) and skip the topic!
