I bought the Federal and state programs like I have done for the past few years. This year I had a problem with the state program it was showing that I owed over 1000.00 to the state. I then put all the same information in the free state web site program and got a refund of 121.00 dollars. Not sure what I did but it worked out in the end.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

i switched from intuit because they mandated a login account. The greatest problem I had with your software was that hr block forced mailing in because of foreign tax credit. Actualy I did it with the software then amended my taxes by paper. If you could fix the foreign tax credit carry over I would greatly appreciate it. The biggest advantage was that I could upload my investment data without an Intuit login account.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
