Everything is as advertised; most topics are clearly covered and it is easy to move between the Q&A format and the forms. But to charge extra to file the state return while allowing 5 federal filings for the base price is a real turnoff and makes no sense to me.

BUT... this year I found no guidance or information about including the benefits of Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) in my return. This is a relatively new, but important part of charitable giving for seniors and should be addressed ... SOON!

IMO the hard part about doing your taxes is getting all the numbers together. Once that is done it is just a matter of plugging them into the program. HR Block handles most of the situations I encounter. Occasionally you are on your own, but this is rare.
