The older versions were a breeze, but the new version made me feel like I should have hired someone to do my taxes for me. I will not buy this version ever again.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

I have used H&R for many years and found the 2023 version to be somewhat disappointing. When importing my information from 2022, it failed to include the standard information about your wages, mortgauge accounts, charities, etc.
Also, once I printed and filed my Federal via electronic option, I could not get the program to allow me to select and electronically file my state taxes.It kept returningg to the Federal Tax filing option. Overall, I was satisfied but not excited about the 2023 version.

I've been using HR Block tax software for past few seasons now. They are great products and step-by-step guideline from start to finish. If you need an additional support, they offered extra fee for that.

Since I began using H&R Block software 15 years ago, my tax filing life has gotten faster, simpler and more assured. I no longer have boxes of paper with receipts, but have digitized (scanning and filing) my tax records. In one envelope, I now keep only the printed copies of my Federal & State returns, plus W-2s, 1099s, etc. AND, it takes only a couple of hours total, every year, to do my own taxes. Now, filing taxes is fun, due to H&R Block software!
