Updates needed to file a return provided late in the process, and i have a very basic return. Spent more time selling the product and trying to get you to buy add-ins then then they did delivering a quality product. I only stick with them because Intuit is worse.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I’ve been using H&R Block for five years. As with any tax return software there’s a learning curve the first year, but it’s not steep with this one. After that so much gets filled in automatically and I can do my taxes in an hour or two. I regularly get my refunds in late February or early Match.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used HRB for 6 years now and trust it does a great job of our taxes. My only complaint is we live in MS and there was an error in the state return processing that wouldn’t allow me to efile the return. It could have been the state system and now hrb but I just mailed it in instead of calling support of hrb. Thank you!

The Alabama state return was just plain wrong this year. I had to submit a paper return because the software that would not do the correct computations. This is the only time I have been disappointed in h&r block's tax return in the past 10 or 12 years. Do better on the state returns.
Cons: Hard to prepare
