I did my taxes back in February/2024. My recollection is that it was quick and easy to prepare and e-file my return. H&R Block let me know when my return was accepted by the IRS, so all went well.

My daughter's family and I have used the H&R Block software for several years. The program us easy to use and carries over the previous years information. This makes it faster to do the interest and capital gains. I had one problem this year but a quick call to support easily solved it. The program even reminded me about additional entries I needed to make.

I found the H&R Block Tax Software to be fairly thorough, however there are times that a better explanation of the questions asked would be a substantial improvement. I had to work two different incomes from two different states and the questions asked were very confusing, to say the least, and without a good explanation of what they were looking for. That became very difficult. For basic tax preparation, it's a very good product. If you have any thing you need other than a "basic" tax return, you probably would be better off contacting your local tax preparer.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
