The software is helpful and allowed me to complete our federal and state tax returns; however, I seemed to have more issues this year with questions from the software itself.

I've using H&R Block software to prepare my taxes since the 1990's. It takes the worries out of preparing your taxes. It seems to take into account all the issues I might encounter. Would I get by with a free program? I might, but I just have confidence in using the paid version.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I use a MAC. The software was very bugg. It wouldn't properly save my returns. It taxed me on Income that according to the NJ department of revenue should not have been taxed.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software becomes more confusing to navigate each year. It may be the state of CT , but even the simple items on my W2 require googling to try to figure out what to do. The software Help function does not help.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Burned!! You cheated me with the state app that I paid for, refusing me anyway to access state, but leaving only a purchase option. I purchased it twice in the app and it only kept offering me more purchase options than install or activate options. I’m going to use turbo tax to do my state and I will go to my credit card for a refund, as if i need more work to do being your error. According to everything I’ve read, you guys should have released an update to correct this error, unless of course a strategic deception is at play. Very disappointed, and tired.
