This software evolved from TaxCut by MECA, which was my first tax software, so I feel at home with it. So far, both the IRS and the State equivalent have accepted the results. Doesn't work quite as well with Quicken as I would like.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I have been using H & R Block software for years. I have found it very easy to use. This year, I purchased the Deluxe version. I found it at a lower price than the Basic when I was ready to purchase so decided to get the Deluxe. I found the Deluxe took me through a lot of screens, etc that I did not need and was more difficult than Basic. I will not make this mistake again, but that said, if I had needed the extra features, I would have been pleased with the software. It's Basic for me next time. You can find so many free tax prep websites now, that I hope for a reduction in the cost of Basic next year.
