Last two years were quirky. Bugs not resolved until late March. State version is wonky early as well. I don't feel comfortable submitting until late March. Probably last year I will use H&R.
Extremely easy for people with tax background. For people's without any finance or tax experience, the questions are easily understood and simple forms to complete. Software will catch some duplicate, missed or conflicted answers.

After all these years I can honestly say I have complete confidence in the. Product. I have had various different circumstances and do not worry as they are accurate both the app and the legal knowledge is at the top. Easy app on my laptop. I might check out the android app next year but I do prefer my laptop
Since I have moved to H&R Block software many years ago I have never looked back. I have never had an issue and love the way it pulls information from your previous year and gets you to a running start. Updates the tax changes continuously until I hit the send key to the IRS Federal and State e-file.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I have used this for decades. The last 2 years I had to manually submit my state returns. Federal doesn’t allow alimony deductions but the state does. I requested this to be fixed after filing my 2022 returns. It still hasn’t been fixed and it is a hassle because the program flags the state as an error, which it isn’t. Otherwise it’s great. I’ll probably try another program next year.
