I found the software easier to use than other tax prep companies. Also, a better value. The only issue was I had to manually add the amount of tax-free monies received from corporate bonds on my state return. The program lumped all the money as taxable for my state.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Product had a problem with saving the program after you had an Federal update. Your tech people could not solve the problem. By coincidence after you had a second update it was solved. Disappointed in tech people. They tried but to no avail.

I have used H & R Block tax software for several years. Three years ago a friend talked me into using “the other one” because it is better. Well, it wasn’t. Maybe if you’re a financial guru it is better but some of the questions were too complicated and it is not nearly as easy to use and understand as Block.

I have been using hr block for many years. It guides you the whole way. Makes things easy when you need more than just a 1040. You don't have to deal with all the worksheets and other forms.
