Buying it each year makes doing the current year so easy. I just input last years return then enter the fresh new data and PRESTO ...... DONE.. This makes taxes painless and I've been doing since the "on paper by hand" method

I have been using H&R Block taxware for years. We have a somewhat complicated return but their program offers suggestions and advice throughout the program. The "download" feature is wonderful in that it takes the guess work out of where to include amounts and saves hours of work

The overall product, such as the federal portion, is fine. But the Arizona state program still lacks needed forms to allow e-filing. In particular, it lacks forms for all of the tax credit options, such as giving to an organization that helps foster children.
Also, it is somewhat difficult to find the option to tax the tax credit for contributions to organizations that help the working poor. You need to guess that it is under "other" and then go find it.
Because of the lack of adequate state forms, I always have to paper file my state return. After all these years, you should fix this.
Pros: Easy to prepare
