Preparing my federal return was relatively easy. I had some things to confirm, but all of the numbers checked out. The Pennsylvania return was a different story. I used the software to generate a paper return. I am too cheap to pay H+R Block to send the state forms in for me. So I went over the the PA Department of Revenue to file my return for free. After inputing the numbers, I got a different result compared to what the Block has calculated I double checked my numbers and could not find an error. I decided to trust the state website and put aside the Block's forms. I did find it concerning the the Block may have calculated my state return wrong.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

I sold some gold and it took hours to figure out how to account for the sale. I finally had to call for service. This is a pretty routine sort of thing to do. It should have been easy.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Good software but in this day and age, how about CNTL + Mouse wheel zoom? What a frigging eye strain it is to use. Throw in some right click context tips for each selected field and it would be more user friendly....

I do my and my kids returns and I found it difficult to move between the filings. Difficult to review what was entered, difficult to see what I didn't need to enter or I could skip over.
