I've been using them for over 10 years. Started out with ZERO idea about what I was doing (the ex used to prefer doing all of it themself), and H&R Block's software just gently guides you through everything, including whether or not you should itemize, and allows you to e-file with no stress at all.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I owe a penalty and interest because of you

I went through the submission process, and things got messed up at the end. I could not find out from either you or the IRS whether the amount I owed was paid. Your SW sucked, and the IRS site was not reporting on my 2023 return through April and May 2024.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
