I have gotten used to it over the years and it does a decent job at what it does. The order of the questions and the interview format is good but for some options (like IRS issued IP PIN) I wish it was not hidden deep inside a page that has 10+ questions with check boxes.
Besides that I also wish that some forms like the Form 8938 had a better UI built in for data entry vs just popping open a fillable PDF like window especially for such users who may need multiple copies of those forms. I recognize that this form is not a common form for many but it can’t be that hard to create a UI for ease of data entry?
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

Great except . . . .

Did its usual FINE job except for two problems.
1. When printing from either directly from the program or from the saved copy ALL the pages, after the first, were truncated mid-way across the page and only showed (a useless, since I was E-filling) "Not For Filling" in the upper right corner. The truncation eliminated the tail end of a great number of entries, making the printout worthless for proofreading, and wasting a bunch of paper. This has never been a problem in the seven years that I've used the program.

Sure hope that it's fixed for next year. Two in a row will end it for me.

Used H&R for over ten years very easy but this year 2024 version was far more difficult, very frustrating compared to earlier years. Just lot of little problems!
