New York software and instructions very unclear regarding Teachers Retirement System pensions. Unable to get free download of past versions despite paying for the ability on past purchases.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

The program is very easy to follow and get filed. I only had one issue in finding a credit in the Colorado State program. Eventually found it and all was good.

It's never been easier. I drop a pdf of my w2 and everything is prefilled and it's accurste. I click import on my 1099 and a list of companies pops up. I click the company log in give them access and all the information gets prefilled and accurately. It took about 10 minutes for me to file with 3 forms and submit my return electronically.

I have never had a problem with Turbo Tax, but for some reason this software had issue after issue. I will never use H&R Block software again. I now have to pay a professional to do a second look and see if I have to Amend my return.

Too many variables, too many unknowns probably better for people that have a lot of deductions in other matters. My taxes are fairly simple. In addition I couldn't correct an air and cold their support staff and although they were very congenial and very patient they had no idea how to fix things., I finally found the problem on my own and it was rather be simple fix. Too expensive
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
