I have used H&R Block Deluxe + State for over 6 years. I love that the interview is thorough and always updates for the most recent Fed. and State changes in taxes/forms. I will continue using this software and would recommend it to anyone doing their own taxes.

Definitely less practical information as the program walks you through step by step. Not as easily to fill in and navigate... especially in regards to how easy the program was three or four years ago! Why did you get rid of the handy Bullseye icon for recalculation that was as a permanent option throughout the whole process?
Not enough "Supporting Explanations" that were easily available... made the entire process more difficult and time-consuming!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have used this software now for three years and I am very happy with the results and ease of use. The only issue I had is that the mini worksheet to determine taxable Social Security income for the 2024 tax year did not work properly for me, and I had to interact with your agent to correct the issue.

KR Block let me down and wasted valuable time

I switched from turbotax 7 years ago and now have "buyers' remorse! Since eFiling I repeated have been unsuccessful in printing a file copy without "not for filing printed on every page! (Federal return is > 100 pages)
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Product was ok...but I do not think updates are correctly installed. My return keeps saying that I have to wait for the next update...but online I found that it was already updated, but not on my existing return...
Also, it said my State was correct and ready to file...but within an hour after filing, it got rejected. A simple error in filling out a field with numbers only was not identified by HR. It did not notice the spaces I included. HR should have caught that and not let me submit...a basic programming error should have caught the empty fields
