Application is good and easy to use. There has been an issue the last couple of years however with the purchase system, at least on Mac - buying the Deluxe+State package doesn't actually unlock the State download, and I've needed to call support to get the State package that I’ve already purchased.
Support is helpful once you get past the idiotic AI screener and talk to a real person.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

It seems the latest editions donot give as clear explantions as the older versions. Maybe things have gotten more complicated.

There was a software error in the New York State version which would have resulted in an underpayment of taxes had I not caught the error. On the Federal portion of the software, you are prompted to enter your annual real estate taxes. On the New York software you need to enter any Star Credit received which reduces real estate taxes. The program did not offset the gross real estate taxes paid by the Star Credit resulting, in an inflated itemized deduction and an underpayment.

I bought this last month and IRS would noy except my E- fax from your Company program. So now I Mailed it in. cost too much to have to mail in. I paid extra for my state Taxes. Was to get 1 free to send in. Did not happen! Your company wanted to charge me extra to send it. What a Con Job! For the deluxe program!
