Maryland is a state where you must take the same deductions (itemized or standard) as you choose on your Federal return. The software should note that and tell me which is the better deal, rather than make me figure it out for myself.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I've used this product for many years and it continues to support my needs very effectively. One issue that is a nuisance in the accuracy test for my federal return is the Data Verification identification for itemized deduction when I haven't itemized a return in more than 10 years.
