I am retired, on a police pension, and my wife draws a small state employee's pension. I draw a small SS pension and my wife a larger one. Neither of us understands the technical language used in tax preparation and we both fear claiming something we're not entitled to, or failing to claim what we're owed. The 'what is this' feature doesn't always help.

I have used HR Block tax software for many years and it has always met my expectations. This year was no exception. I particularly like the features of being able to import large amounts of investment data, thus saving al lot of work , and bringing forward pertinent information from the prior year.

GREAT interview process makes it easy to use. Also, fast and accurate. I like the final audit process for minor potential issues, such as zero state tax withholding on some income. Electronic filing makes life so very much easier! I knew within minutes (federal) and hours (state) that my tax returns were accepted. By February I'm done.
