I started using the program when it was TaxCut which became H&R Block Software. That is over 20 years I believe or close to it. I have recommended it to numerous people. I do not plan to change in the future.

Only short coming, It doesn't easily handle Schedule K-1s. It should since many ETFs are required to provide them like 1099s.

Most miserable year of doing my taxes ever. Apparently this software cannot handle when one person paid self-employed health insurance premiums and another received a 1095-A form for health insurance. It's apparently a known issue. It would not let me e-file. I wasted so many hours trying.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this tool since 2012 and always on MacOS. Overall, does a pretty good job. The best newer features are the import for various financial sites and probably without it being able to import all of my invest tax reports, I would have had do an in-person meeting which would be probably five times the cost of this product.

I have been using H&R Block software for about 20 years. Except for one year when it was difficult to follow and I went to TurboTax. This year because I had a new PC, it did not recognize last year's return and I had to manually input all the basic information as well as some of my financial information such as addresses, etc. I was tempted again to go to Turbo Tax. Also I find it cumbersome to see the actual return while I am inputting my details. Thank God I keep paper copies of my previous returns!!!

I already had my documents in order. 6 hours from download to submitting with itemized deductions. Paper forms would have taken much longer.

It was ok, but had issues downloading information. It did download my W-2 but there was some glitch that said there was an error, which there really wasn't. Another item I tried to download wouldn't download at all.

State School Income Tax Return? H&R Block knew!

Thanks for including the school income tax form with the Ohio state return. I didn't know there was such a thing. The tax software not only had the forms but also filled it out from the data in my Federal and State returns and I was able to file the returns online as well as receiving notices that they were all accepted.
